The leading tour operator in Sri Lanka, Red Dot Tours, has commissioned Marmalade Productions to create an extensive series of destination guides for the island.

The series of unique and free to access video guides will be available on Red Dot’s YouTube channel.

Produced entirely on location, the guides are the first of their kind. Ten two and a half minute clips present a bite-sized view of each region of Sri Lanka and its highlights, revealing the very best secret beaches, great local haunts and unmissable places to stay.

Explaining the concept, director of Red Dot Tours, David Hopps said: “Red Dot wanted to convey the essence of Sri Lanka. We scoured the country looking for some of the best beaches and hill country scenery, for wildlife and adventure opportunities, and some of the most sumptuous accommodation. But most of all we also tried to bring the island alive using Sri Lankan voices. Now we bring you the result of those efforts – a series of guides designed to be a valuable free resource for travellers.

“Marmalade Productions has perfectly captured the mood we wished to convey. Imaginative, responsive, professional and uplifting to work with.”
